Postgraduate Environmental Policy and Management

Make a positive impact on the environment.

"My Master’s degree has shown me different ways to think about and approach the issues I deal with at work. Holding a Master’s qualification has also helped me to get the job I want."Michelle Jones

A Master of Environmental Policy and Management at The University of Adelaide provides you with an in-depth understanding of the principles and practice of environmental policy, planning and governance.

Effective response to environmental problems involves research, negotiation and implementation by governments through diverse private sector agents and a differentiated civil society.

In this degree you will learn about climate change, biodiversity, population growth and resource scarcity, explore approaches to conservation and sustainability and research how humans affect natural environments. By working on economic tools, incentives, democratic decentralisation and risk management you will learn what it takes to create policies and plans to address the major environmental concerns existing today and into the future.
