Studying Online during COVID-19

"The Master of Education at The University of Adelaide has dealt with the transition to online learning incredibly well and has given us International students an efficient and thorough learning platform as well as a team of incredibly wonderful professors and support staff to encourage us to persevere through these tough times.Through Zoom lectures, group discussions and wellbeing conferences as well as interactive presentations and insightful online lectures I have been able to focus on my learning as well as identify self development strategies. I thank Associate Professor Mathew White and the entire faculty of Education at the University of Adelaide for utilising innovative pedagogies and at the same time providing us the support and motivation that is needed to cope in these stressful times!"

Studying Online during COVID-19

"The shift from blended learning to virtual flipped intensive has offered me a rich experience of online learning. Every discipline in Master of Education is surprisingly interactive through emails, question answer forums, discussion board, assignments and Zoom conferences.  I have learned just as much online as I would have in a blended approach. Each professor keeps excellent communication throughout the course through emails, notifications and feedback. Reading materials, videos, pre-recorded lectures allow flexibility and at your own pace learning. Zoom conferences are always interesting because you get to see everyone simultaneously. The sessions are lively with high energy levels of the professors and ensure student-student interaction through breakout sessions. I have not experienced anything different in virtual classes than in traditional classes."

"The University of Adelaide recently introduced a completely new and thorough Masters of Education program that has been put together by some of the country's leading educators and program designers. I am enjoying the flexibility that the university offers me that allows me to complete aspects of my degree online while also attending intensives on campus. The high quality professors and educators that lead and conduct the classes offer beneficial 21st century subjects. Subjects that are relevant and engaging in the way the course is taught."

"I have really enjoyed studying as an international student at the University of Adelaide. The focus and attention that the University puts on student wellbeing is to be recognised. They strive to ensure students are engaged, supported, and connected through many forms of support from exam preparation and study guidance to social events and engagement initiatives. The course structure, research, assessment style, lectures and tutorials, all reflect the quality and education style that I hope to deliver in a Higher Education setting myself."
