Studying Online during COVID-19
"The shift from blended learning to virtual flipped intensive has offered me a rich experience of online learning. Every discipline in Master of Education is surprisingly interactive through emails, question answer forums, discussion board, assignments and Zoom conferences. I have learned just as much online as I would have in a blended approach. Each professor keeps excellent communication throughout the course through emails, notifications and feedback. Reading materials, videos, pre-recorded lectures allow flexibility and at your own pace learning. Zoom conferences are always interesting because you get to see everyone simultaneously. The sessions are lively with high energy levels of the professors and ensure student-student interaction through breakout sessions. I have not experienced anything different in virtual classes than in traditional classes."

"Undertaking my first subject in July 2020 in the midst of a global pandemic was worlds apart from my last experience of tertiary learning! I was incredibly fortunate to have 2 x 2 day intensives held in a face to face environment and the opportunity to chat and socialise with colleagues in this setting was invaluable. I’m loving being immersed in a culture of learning. The lecturer was outstanding and my peers proved themselves to be incredibly supportive, motivated and with a great sense of humour. I wish I’d started my M.Ed sooner!"

"In these last few years of study I learned not only different languages, values and cultures, but also how to navigate the wider world. I have learned to reflect on and learn from mistakes. I can meet different people and learn how to work with them with different strategies. The University of Adelaide is a great place to study - I truly enjoy discussing educational issues with professors and students from many background."
"The University of Adelaide recently introduced a completely new and thorough Masters of Education program that has been put together by some of the country's leading educators and program designers. I am enjoying the flexibility that the university offers me that allows me to complete aspects of my degree online while also attending intensives on campus. The high quality professors and educators that lead and conduct the classes offer beneficial 21st century subjects. Subjects that are relevant and engaging in the way the course is taught."
"The Master of Education degree is unique in its blended intensive media, that is super-supported by my employer - they support my attendance at full day intensives, and the fact that multiple staff from Prince Alfred College are studying at the same time provide for a wonderful micro-group within the course for onsite support, discussion and encouragement during the study periods. We are also all ideally placed, onsite at our education site, to take our learning directly back to our work and implement the ideas and knowledge."
The next entry for the Master of Education is in July 2021.
