Masters Qualifying Program

The Masters Qualifying Program (MQP) is a one-year full time non-award program and is offered to only international students whose home institution is one with whom a formal international Articulation Agreement has been agreed by the University and partner institution.

The MQP is intended to enable international students to undertake sufficient postgraduate coursework courses to be counted at the home institution towards a Bachelor degree and at the University of Adelaide towards the destination Master when a formal offer is made. For a 48 unit destination Master, the MQP consists of 24 units plus the remaining 24 units in the destination Master are taken subsequently.

The MQP must provide courses that are content-based not placement-based and must be completed successfully as a condition of entry to the destination Master.

Students who fail to complete all courses within the MQP will be ineligible for admission to the destination Master. Students who complete successfully the MQP but who no longer wish to proceed with formal enrolment in the destination Master program will gain credit towards the Bachelor award at the home institution and, under the conditions of the articulation Agreement, will be eligible to graduate with that award.
