About the School
The School of Social Sciences is one of four schools in the Faculty of Arts at the University of Adelaide. The School is made up of five Departments:
- Anthropology and Development Studies
- Asian Studies
- Geography, Environment and Population
- Sociology, Criminology and Gender Studies
- Politics and International Relations

Our undergraduate students have the opportunity for interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary study and our postgraduate students are able to undertake research across a wide field of research areas.
The academic staff at the School have national and international profiles and we have an outstanding track record of success in attracting research funding.
