Composer Adam Gorb to visit Elder Conservatorium on two-week residency

The Elder Conservatorium is delighted to be hosting a two-week residency by the UK based composer, Professor Adam Gorb.

From 1-16 October, Professor Gorb will be working closely with three of our orchestras: the Elder Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra; the Elder Conservatorium Wind Orchestra; and the Adelaide Wind Orchestra. For the past 22 years Adam has been the Head of School of Composition at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in Manchester. Professor Gorb's compositions will be performed in two upcoming Elder Hall concerts - Friday 6 October (with the Elder Conservatorium Symphony Orchestra) and Sunday 15 October (with the Elder Conservatorium Wind Orchestra). Adam will be co-conducting the latter concert. The concerts will be livestreamed on the Australian Digital Concert Hall platform. It will be a great pleasure to have Adam with us for these two weeks, interacting with our current students and alumni/alumnae, and for us to continue cultivating the very close links between ourselves and the RNCM.
