We provide two pathways to become a secondary school teacher, and offer flexible degree options to teach in your areas of interest. Our teaching degrees include practical placements from your first year of study, giving you an authentic experience of working in a classroom.
Our research degrees are open to a broad range of areas, offering projects ranging from the exploration of virtual reality and mobile learning, to global education issues regarding refugees and wellbeing. In South Australia, all applicants to all teacher education programs require you to complete a Teaching Capabilities Statement as the non-academic entry requirement. This Statement has a set of three questions that encourage you to think carefully about your decision to become a teacher, what motivates you in this decision, and to share your understanding about the role.
