Research Seminar: Exploring the Predictors of Indonesian Reading Literacy Based on PISA Data

This study contains an analysis of Indonesian students’ reading literacy based on Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA) data for the year of 2000, 2009, and 2018. The purposes are to: examine student, parent, and school factors and reading states (reading attitudes, reading strategies, and reading confidence) and their relationships impact on student reading literacy in Indonesia based on PISA 2000, 2009, and 2018; investigate the differences relationship (in that multiyear) between based text and online reading; and investigate their impacts change over time from 2000 to 2018. In Indonesia, there is a little study that investigating effects of school, parent, and student factors on reading literacy. Therefore, the study will contribute into the influential predictors of Indonesian reading literacy. With the 18 year of test duration, the study will give a new of perspective in the literature on a longitudinal study in education measurement.
