Art History and Curatorship Alumni Network (AHCAN)

There is an Alumni Network for graduates of the Art History and Curatorial and Museum Studies programs offered jointly by the University of Adelaide and the Art Gallery of South Australia.

  • Membership of AHCAN

    Membership of this Alumni chapter is open to:

    • Graduates of the postgraduate Art History and Curatorial and Museum Studies programs
    • Graduates of undergraduate Art History courses
    • Current and former staff in the Art History and Curatorial and Museum Studies programs
  • Network Aims

    The aims of the AHCAN include:

    • to promote engagement and professional networking between Alumni
    • and promote mentoring to fellow Alumni and current students
    • to raise funds for an AHCAN Scholarship for tuition fees for University of Adelaide postgraduate
    • courses in Art History and Curatorial and Museum Studies
    • to raise funds for Alumni to undertake short-term ARCAN internships within Australia and overseas

    The AHCAN Committee meets 4 times per year to plan Alumni events.

The Art History and Curatorship Alumni Network will be formally launched on Tuesday 6 October 2015 from 5-7pm at the Art Gallery of South Australia and it will include a special preview of the inaugural Festival of Contemporary Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Art, TARNANTHI.
