The Diana Harris Prize for Accompaniment
This Prize was established by the University as a result of a contribution by various people for the establishment of an annual prize in recognition of Diana Harris’ outstanding contribution to both the importance and education of the Accompanist.
The value of the Prize will be $700 per year, or such other amount as the Director of the Elder Conservatorium shall from time to time determine.
Eligibility & Selection of Candidate
The prize will be awarded on the recommendation of the Director of the Elder Conservatorium to the student who has been conspicuously active as an accompanist and who shows sufficient merit.
If there is no candidate of sufficient merit in a given year then the prize will not be awarded in that year.
If there is more than one candidate of sufficient merit, then the prize shall be shared equally.
These rules may be varied from time to time but the title and general purpose of the prize shall not be changed.
