Business and Industry
The University of Adelaide is not only renowned for its excellence in research and teaching. We also strive to connect and support long-term strategic alliances with business and industry.
We partner with business and industry in a number of ways, one of which is through an active internships program.
One of our strongest ties with business and industry is through our highly successful Arts Internship program. The Faculty has an extensive list of host organisation partners from a wide variety of fields. Students are placed in an organisation that aligns with their studies and interests. Our interns then undertake a research project for the organisation under the supervision of both a host and academic supervisor.
For further information, including how to become a host organisation, please see our Internships page.
We provide specialist expertise to research clients and partners, who are faced with challenges in a range of areas including:
- population projections, demographic analysis (e.g. for health and aged care), spatial analysis and modelling
- housing and homelessness
- access to natural resources and related impacts of regional economies and social outcomes
- climate change and adaptation
- workforce supply and development
- mining and corporate social responsibility
By providing expertise supported by a stimulating research environment, we can help to set strategic direction, refine policy, develop service delivery programs and understand important emerging trends through the provision of relevant, high quality information and judicious problem solving support.
