The Department of Anthropology and Development Studies is concerned with issues of social and cultural difference, inequality and social justice.

The study of Anthropology is the study of humanity. One of its most important aims is to help foster a better understanding social and cultural difference. Development Studies has emerged out of a concern to examine why some countries are less socially and economically developed than others.
